5-strand plait
- Start off with 5 sections of hair, instead of 3
- Plait the first three strands to the far right of the head.
- Now weave in the outer strand on the left of the head, going over, then under & stopping.
- Repeat with the outer strand on the right side of the head
- Repeat to finish.
Wiggle Plait
1. Taking your desired section of hair, plait the hair as normal with three strands.
2. Once you've reached the end, before tying off the plait, take one strand and leave the other two facing away from it.
3. Pull the two strands of hair facing away up the plait you just created to bunch it together.
4. Make sure your pushing the plait up the hair from the root also.
5. Pin into place.
Waterfall Plait
1. Start off by sectioning the hair into three even strands, and do one plait as normal.
2. When it comes to crossing the right section over for a second time, drop the strand after doing so, and cross over with the left strand as usual.
3. Pick up a new section of hair next to the right strand you just dropped, cross it over & drop again.
4. Cross over the same left strand as normal.
5. Keep picking up a new strand of hair for the right side & repeat until finished.
6. Pin into place.
Slip-knot plait
1. Section the hair into two even sections at the front of the head and tie into a knot, hand the sections to your model with her hands fanned out.
2. Repeat again, handing the strands to the model once knotted.
3. On the third knot, bring in the first section the model is currently holding into each strand and tie again.
4. Repeat backwards against the head, pin wheeling the sections to follow the heads natural shape.
5. Come to a natural stop when the strands become too short to be tied and round off into a twisted bun.
6. Taking a piece of cloth, brush against the hair to mess up the style.
